A video of negligence by women railway workers while on duty at Etawah Railway Junction station in Uttar Pradesh has gone viral. In this video, female employees were seen playing games on mobile while on duty on the up track. The incident is said to have taken place near the goods warehouse of Etawah railway station.
Case of negligence on Delhi-Howrah track
In the viral video, four women employees are seen sitting in the middle of the Delhi-bound up line of the Delhi-Howrah railway track and playing Ludo game. All these women were doing track maintenance work. In the video, a female employee herself is heard admitting that she had come to work on the track, but what to do if she does not play Ludo.
Video exposes negligence of railway personnel
It can also be seen in the video that this incident happened just a few steps away from the Etawah railway station platform. When the person making the video asked these women workers what they were doing on the track, they replied that they had come to repair the track.
Railway Station Superintendent’s response
On this entire matter, Etawah Railway Station Superintendent Purnamal Meena said that he has no information about this incident. He also said that he did not know who the women working on the track were and whether they were playing Ludo or not.
Accidents often happen in railway stations and carelessness is also a major reason behind these accidents. Both people and employees should be careful at the station.
